Spring 2020 One Room Challenge: Bathroom Renovation
Updated: May 25, 2020
This year, I will be participating in the Better Homes and Gardens Spring 2020 One Room Challenge®!
What is the #oneroomchallenge? It is a 6-week event where a group of featured and guest designers share weekly updates as they remodel one room in a home.
Over the coming weeks, I’ll share the transformation of a bathroom. If you follow me on Instagram, you may know that this renovation is already underway! But through the #oneroomchallenge I will share all the details on finishes and how things are progressing.
If this is your first time on Restoration Lane, welcome! We are Christie and Matt. We are partners in life and business. Through our journey of real estate investing, we’ve renovated almost a dozen homes and much of our work has been DIY.
The room I’ll be sharing over the next few weeks is one bathroom in a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom duplex that we are currently renovating. The majority of the work in this room will be DIY as well.
As you can see, this bath was pretty rough to begin with.
We bought this property from a bank, so it was certainly neglected for a period of years prior to our purchase.
The walls were painted bright blue. The prior owner had installed a cheap, builder grade, white vanity and a matching mirror. All the tile in the tub was somewhere between pink and beige. Yuck! The upside of this space is it’s pretty spread out for a house of this size. So we should be able to get a larger vanity in here. Make sure you subscribe to our e-mail list below and follow us on Instagram to get all the #oneroomchallenge updates over the coming weeks!
