What is the #oneroomchallenge? It is a 6-week event where a group of featured and guest designers share weekly updates as they remodel one room in a home.
Over the coming weeks, I’ll share the transformation of a bathroom. If you follow me on Instagram, you may know that this renovation is already underway! But through the #oneroomchallenge I will share all the details on finishes and how things are progressing.

The room I’ll be sharing over the next few weeks is one bathroom in a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom duplex that we are currently renovating. The majority of the work in this room will be DIY as well.
As you can see, this bath was pretty rough to begin with.
We bought this property from a bank, so it was certainly neglected for a period of years prior to our purchase.
The walls were painted bright blue. The prior owner had installed a cheap, builder grade, white vanity and a matching mirror. All the tile in the tub was somewhere between pink and beige. Yuck!
The upside of this space is it’s pretty spread out for a house of this size. So we should be able to get a larger vanity in here.
